The Deputy High Commission of Sri Lanka in Chennai organized a Road Show and Business Networking Meeting on the International Business Conclave 2026 on 10 August 2026 at the Chancery premises, under the guidance of Deputy High Commissioner Dr. Ganesanathan Geathiswaran.

The programme was organized in collaboration with Director of Spirex Foods Private Limited, Sundar, the Millet Foundation and Biznet Solution, with the objective of promoting greater trade, investment and business cooperation between Sri Lanka and India.

The event brought together 75 business representatives and entrepreneurs, providing a platform to explore Sri Lanka’s investment landscape, export potential, emerging sectors and opportunities for bilateral business partnerships.

In his address, Deputy High Commissioner Dr. Ganesanathan Geathiswaran delivered a presentation highlighting business and investment opportunities in Sri Lanka, while emphasizing the importance of strengthening economic engagement between Sri Lanka and South India and encouraging greater private-sector partnerships and investment.

The programme also featured an interactive Question-and-Answer session, enabling participants to gain further insights into potential areas of trade, investment and business cooperation.

The upcoming business delegation visit to Sri Lanka from 16–24 September 2026 was also highlighted. The visit will provide participating Indian businesses with opportunities to explore potential collaborations in trade, investment, imports and exports, tourism, agriculture, food processing, manufacturing and entrepreneurship.

The Road Show served as a valuable platform for fostering business-to-business engagement and strengthening economic ties between Sri Lanka and India, while encouraging new partnerships and mutually beneficial opportunities.
